Established in 1988, Electric Cable Compounds, Inc. (ECC) is a privately owned and operated company. ECC was founded by former GE wire and cable employees with many years of experience and high expertise in wire and cable industry. In 2000 Electric Cable Compounds purchased Wire and Cable Mixing operation of A. Schulman, Inc., at which time ECC became the premier supplier of EPDM and other polyolefin wire and cable grades for LV, MV and HV applications in the USA and around the globe.

In September 2006, Electric Cable Compounds relocated its offices to a new constructed, state of the art, manufacturing facility in Naugatuck, CT. The move further demonstrated Electric Cable Compunds commitment to being the leader in supplying quality electrical grade compounds to the Wire and Cable Industry.
